Alabama's interpretation of Baltimore Club music, better known as BAMABOUNCE,
is the proud creation of relatively unknown but prodigiously talented
Birmingham resident DJ Taj. Though greatly inspired by Baltimore Club,
Taj’s take on the sound is sometimes at a faster tempo and steeped
in a heavier dirty south influence, with clever uses of TV and R&B
samples throughout. The record’s bold pink confederate flag symbolizes
not only a geographic location but also a sexual freedom—the Bamabounce
aesthetic is a welcome throwback to the legendary Miss Tony days of club
